When “the eighth story” and a new film franchise were announced for the Wizarding World, it appeared the fandom was in for a renaissance. However, several years past 2016, that’s not the case. The, ahem, divisive reception to the expanding Wizarding World™ has thrown a wrench into our favorite pastime of HP analysis.
